    Padre Nuestro (Our Father)

Padre nuestro, que ests en el cielo,
    santificado sea tu Nombre;
    venga a nosotros tu reino;
    Danos hoy nuestro pan de cada da;
    perdona nuestras ofensas,
    como tambin nosotros perdonamos a los que nos ofenden;
no nos dejes caer en la tentacin,
    y lbranos del mal.Amen.

    Ave Mara (Hail Mary)

    engendrado, no creado,
de la misma naturaleza del Padre,
    por quien todo fu hecho;
    se encarn de mara la Virgen, y se hizo hombre;
y por nuestra causa fue cricificado
    en tiempos de Poncio Pilato,
    padeci y fu sepultado,
    y subi al cielo, y est sentado a la derecha del Padre;
    Amn.

    Gloria (Glory Be)

Gloria al Padre, y al Hijo y al Espritu Santo.
Como en un principio ahora y siempre,
por los siglos de los siglos.
    Amn.

    pblico o particularmente.

"Step-By-Step" Instructions for Praying The Rosary

    1. Begin by holding the crucifix, saying "In the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit," (making the sign of the Cross while doing that), then say the Apostles Creed.
    2. On the single bead just above the cross, pray the "Our Father." This and all prayers of the rosary are meditative prayers.
    3. The next cluster has 3 beads. The "Hail Mary" prayer is said on these three beads. You pray the 3 Hail Marys while meditating on the three divine virtues of faith, hope, and love/charity.
    4. On the chain or cord after the three beads, say the "Glory be..."
    5. On the next bead, which is a single bead, you announce the first divine mystery of contemplation.  For example, if it were a Monday, you would say the first Joyful Mystery is "The Annunciation", at this point you pray the "Our Father" prayer.
    6. Now this will bring you to the first decade, or set of 10 beads of the Rosary.  You will then pray 10 Hail Marys while contemplating the first mystery, example: The Annunciation.
    7. After the 10th Hail Mary you will have completed the first of 5 decades which make up a Chaplet of the Rosary. You now come to another single bead, at this point, you pray the... Glory be to the Father... then (on the same bead) pray the O My Jesus... then (on the same bead) announce the next or second mystery. For example: if its Monday and your praying the Joyful Mysteries, the second Joyful Mystery is The Visitation.   At this point you pray the Our Father....
    8. You will now come to the second decade or group of 10 beads, you will now pray the 10 Hail Marys while contemplating the appropriate mystery.
    9. You continue to pray the rosary the same way throughout. If your intention is to pray a Chaplet (a single set of mysteries) at the end of the fifth mystery you will come back to the joiner, this is where the decades all join with the lower part of the rosary which contains the cross.  When you come to the joiner, you decide whether or not you wish to say another Chaplet or end.  If you decide to say another Chaplet you simply announce the next mystery and continue. If you wish to end, you simply say the Glory Be To The Father, the O My Jesus, The Our Father and end the rosary with the Hail Holy Queen and the sign of the Cross........

Various Rosary Prayers in approximate order as prayed in the Rosary

    THE APOSTLE'S CREED

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord; Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried, He descended into hell; the third day He arose again from the dead; He ascended into Heaven, sitteth at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty, from thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.

    THE OUR FATHER

Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.   Amen.

    THE DOXOLOGY

Glory be to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.  As it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be, world without end.  Amen. (this prayer is optional and may be said after all Glory Be to the Fathers.....)
O my Jesus, have mercy on us. Forgive us our sins. Save us from the fires of hell. Take all souls into heaven, especially, those most in need of thy mercy. Amen.

    THE HAIL MARY

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

    DECADE PRAYER

(Prayer for Priests):  God, our Father, please send us holy priests, all for the sacred and eucharistic heart of Jesus, all for the sorrowful and immaculate heart of Mary, in union with saint Joseph.  Amen.

    THE SALVE REGINA

(Hail Holy Queen):  Hail Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, our life our sweetness and our hope.  To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve; To thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears.  Turn then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us and after this our exile show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus.  O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary!
V: Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God
R: That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

    LET US PRAY

O God, by the life, death and resurrection of Your only begotten Son, You purchased for us the rewards of eternal life; grant, we beseech You that while meditation on these  mysteries of the Holy rosary, we may imitate what they contain and obtain what they promise. Through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.

    FATIMA PRAYER

Most Holy Trinity - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - I adore thee profoundly.  I offer Thee the most precious Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ, present in all the tabernacles of the world, in reparation for the outrages, sacrileges and indifference's whereby He is offended.  And through the infinite merits of His Most Sacred Heart and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg of Thee the conversion of poor sinners.
"Let this prayer be echoed all over the world." -   Mary

    Fatima Prayer

My God, I believe, I adore, I hope, and I love You.  I beg pardon of You for those who do not believe, do not adore, do not hope, and do not love You.
Mary, Queen of the Holy Rosary, pray for us. Mary, Queen of Peace, pray for us. Mary, Our Loving Mother, pray for us.

    MEMORARE

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary that never was it known that anyone who fled to Your protection, implored Your help, or sought Your intercession was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, we fly to you, O Virgin of virgins, our Mother. To You we come; before You we stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not our petitions, but in Your mercy, hear and answer us.  Amen.

The Fifteen Promises of Mary to Christians Who Recite the Rosary

    • Whoever shall faithfully serve me by the recitation of the rosary, shall receive signal graces.
    • I promise my special protection and the greatest graces to all those who shall recite the rosary.
    • The rosary shall be a powerful armor against hell, it will destroy vice, decrease sin, and defeat heresies.
    • It will cause virtue and good works to flourish; it will obtain for souls the abundant mercy of God; it will withdraw the heart of men from the love of the world and its vanities, and will lift them to the desire of eternal things.  Oh, that souls would sanctify themselves by this means.
    • The soul which recommend itself to me by the recitation of the rosary, shall not perish.
    • Whoever shall recite the rosary devoutly, applying himself to the consideration of its sacred mysteries shall never be conquered by misfortune. God will not chastise him in His justice, he shall not by an unprovided death; if he be just he shall remain in the grace of God, and become worthy of eternal life.
    • Whoever shall have a true devotion for the rosary shall not die without the sacraments of the Church.
    • Those who are faithful to recite the rosary shall have during their life and at their death the light of God and the plenitude of His graces; at the moment of death they shall participate in the merits of the saints in paradise.
    • I shall deliver from purgatory those who have been devoted to the rosary.
    • The faithful children of the rosary shall merit a high degree of glory in heaven.
    • You shall obtain all you ask of me by the recitation of the rosary.
    • All those who propagate the holy rosary shall be aided by me in their necessities.
    • I have obtained from my Divine Son that all the advocates of the rosary shall have for intercessors the entire celestial court during their life and at the hour of death.
    • All who recite the rosary are my son, and brothers of my only son Jesus Christ.
    • Devotion of my rosary is a great sign of predestination.
(Given to St. Dominic and Blessed Alan) Imprimatur: Patrick J. Hayes DD Archbishop of New York)

The Lord said to Blessed Faustina:
"You will recite this chaplet on the beads of the Rosary in the following manner:"
First of all, you will say one Our Father, one Hail Mary, and the I Believe In God.
Then: On the Our Father Beads you will say the following words:
Eternal Father, I offer You the Body and Blood Soul and Divinity of Your dearly beloved Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.
On the Hail Mary Beads you will say the following words:
For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.
In conclusion ThreeTimes you will recite these words:
Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world. (Diary, 476)
Our Lord said to Blessed Faustine:
Unceasingly recite this chaplet that I have taught you. Whoever will recite it will receive great mercy at the hour of death ... Priest will recommend it to sinners as their last hope of salvation. Even the most hardened sinner, if he recites this chaplet even once, will receive grace from My infinite mercy (687) ... Oh, what great graces I will grant to souls who will recite this chaplet (848) ... Through the chaplet you will obtain anything, if what you ask for is compatible with My will (1731) ... I want the whole world to know My infinite mercy. I want to give unimaginable graces to those who trust in My mercy (687).
    Speak, Lord . . . Your Servant Listens +++
Prayer is, in the strictest sense, a humble religious petition of man to God to seek divine benevolence and benefits he needs for life, both temporal and eternal. It is a conversation with God, either by accepted prayer forms, or from the heart. Here, then, in conversational verse, is a hypothetical talk the Lord might have with us, His children..........
It is not necessary my child, to know much in order to please me much; it is enough that you love me fervently. Speak here to me then, as you would speak to your most intimate friend, to your mother, to your brother.
So, you want to ask me to do something for someone? Tell me his name. Is it your parents, your brothers, your friends? Tell me what you want me to do for them now. Ask much, very much: do not hesitate to ask. I love generous hearts who somehow can come to forget themselves to look after the needs of others. Speak sincerely to me then, of the poor you would console, of the sick you see suffering, of the strayed you yearn to see return to the right path, of those absent friends you want at your side again. Say at least one word for each, the ardent word of a friend. Remind me that I have promised to listen to every petition that arises from the heart, and is not a prayer for those whom your heart especially loves such a pray?
And for you: do you need a particular favor? Make a list, as it were, of your needs, and come and read it in my presence.
Tell me frankly that you are prone to anger, that you love sensuality and pleasure, that you are perhaps proud, variable, negligent . . . Ask me to come to the help of those efforts, many or few, which you undertake to free yourself from these faults.
Do not be ashamed, poor soul; there are in Heaven so many saints who had these same defects; but they prayed humbly, and little by little they saw themselves freed from them.
Do not hesitate to ask Me for spiritual and material goods; for health, memory, success in your work, enterprises and studies; all these I can give and I do give -- as long as they do not hinder, but rather assist your sanctification. Precisely today, what do you need? What can I do for you? If only you knew how much I would like to help you!
Do you have, right now, some project in mind? Tell me everything in detail. What preoccupies you? What are you thinking? What do you want? What do you want me to do for your parents, your brothers, your children, your superiors? What would you want to do for them?
And for me, do you feel an attraction for my glory? Do you not want to do something for those friends whom you love much but who perhaps live separated from me?
Tell me what in particular attracts your attention today, what you desire most ardently and what means you have of obtaining it? Tell me if your plans are not working and I will tell you the causes of your difficulties. Do you not want to interest me in your quest? My dear one, I am the Lord of hearts and I move them, without violating their freedom, to wherever I please.
Are you perhaps sad, or in bad humor? Tell me, tell me, you inconsolable soul, tell me your sorrows in all their details. Who wounded you? come close to my Heart, and find in it a refreshing balsam for the wounds in yours. Then, you will confess that, like me, you forgive everything, you forget everything. In appreciation, you will receive my consoling benediction.
Are you perhaps afraid? Do you feel in your soul those vague stirrings of sadness which, however unjustified, can be so tearing? Throw yourself in the arms of my Providence. I am with you. I am at your side. I see everything. I hear everything. I shall not abandon you for one moment.
Do you feel ignored by persons who loved you once but who now have forgotten you without cause? Pray from them and I will bring them back to you if they are not obstacles to your salvation.
And don't you have, perhaps, some joy to communicate to me? Why don't you let me share it with you, like a friend?
Tell me what has consoled and gladdened your heart since yesterday, since you last visited me. Perhaps you have had an agreeable surprise; perhaps you have seen grave doubts dissipated, or you have received good news -- a letter, or perhaps a gesture of love. Maybe you have overcome some difficulty, or come out of a trying situation. All of this is my work. I have obtained this for you. Why not show me your gratitude and say, like a child to its father, "Thank you, my Father, thank you." Gratitude brings forth new gifts since benefactors, as you know, like to see themselves appreciated.
Do you not have a promise to make to me? I read, you know, the bottom of hearts. Men are easily deceived, but not God. Speak to me, then honestly; do you have firm intentions of avoiding the occasion of sin? Of denying yourself that object that harmed your soul? Of not reading again that book which excited your imagination? Of avoiding that person who disturbed the peace of your soul?
Will you be kind to that person who, because he offended you, you have regarded as an enemy?
And now, my child return to your work, to your office, to your family, to your studies -- but do not forget these fifteen minutes of intimate conversation we have had in the privacy of the sanctuary. Keep as much as possible, silence, resignation, modesty, charity towards your neighbors. Love and honor my Mother, who is also your Mother. And please come again tomorrow with an even more fervent heart, to unite it to mine. In it you will find every day new love, new gifts, new consolation. Here I await you.

Just as designer handbags have their knockoff counterparts, so do some of Europe’s beloved travel icons. And a handful reside here in the good ol’ USA.
From the Parthenon to the Eiffel Tower, copycat monuments have been erected to honor, to humor, to inspire curiosity, and — in typical American fashion — to attract business.
It’s also good news for the budget-conscious “world” traveler: No need to splurge on pricey airfare or dig up that passport to visit them.
We’ve rounded up a few favorites that are less obvious. Unlike the big-budget travel replicas found in Las Vegas and Disney World’s Epcot Center, these travel icon “knockoffs” reside in small towns and cities sprinkled across the country, each with its own colorful backstory.
If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, these are verysincere (and eccentric) kudos.
The Leaning Tower of Pisa … in Niles, Illinois
It’s a slice of Italy in Illinois. The Leaning Tower of Niles is an eye-catching attraction off a busy thoroughfare north ofChicago. Those who don’t anticipate it almost always pull over. Half the size of the original, this replica dates back to 1934, when it was constructed to mask a water tank for local swimming pools. Thanks to significant preservation work over the years, it now provides a backdrop to the occasional musical performance — and plenty of photo ops.

The Parthenon … in Nashville, Tennessee
Can’t afford a trip to Greece? Consider a trip to Nashville instead, where you can combine an affinity for Plato and Socrates with country music. A full-scale reproduction of the Parthenon resides in Nashville’s Centennial Park. It was built for Tennessee’s 1897 Centennial Exposition, to honor the city’s reputation as the “Athens of the South” — a nickname that predates Nashville’s modern-day “Music City” moniker. Unlike the 2,400-year-old decaying original, this Parthenon is fully intact and houses a permanent art exhibit.

Stonehenge … in Natural Bridge, Virginia
With more than 20 Stonehenge replicas across the USA, it’s hard to pick a favorite. But Foamhenge gets our vote because it’s the only one made entirely out of Styrofoam. Yes, Styrofoam. Chiseled to exact scale by artist Mark Cline — right down to the nicks found on the original’s stones — it’s a hauntingly accurate copy of the real thing. Imagine yourself among ancient druids while visiting this masterpiece in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

The Eiffel Tower … in Paris, Texas
Ooh la la, y’all. This version of the Eiffel Tower dons a giant cowboy hat. Would you expect anything less from a Texas town that shares a name with the City of Light? The hat also comes with history: It was added in 1998 to beat the height of an Eiffel Tower replica in Paris, Tennessee. Goes to show, don’t mess with Texas. (Just don’t remind these “Parisians” that the Eiffel Tower in Las Vegas is more than 400 feet taller than their beloved replica.)

London Bridge … in Lake Havasu City, Arizona
In 1968, London Bridge really was falling down. So the city of London sold it to the highest bidder, Lake Havasu City co-founder Robert P. McCulloch, for the bargain price of $2,460,000. The bridge was transported brick by brick and reassembled in the Arizona desert. So the London Bridge that cars drive atop, tourists walk across, and boats float under isn’t a replica — it’s the real deal. McCulloch was no fool when he made his investment: The bridge helped bring tourism to Lake Havasu. It’s Arizona tourism’s second-largest attraction after the Grand Canyon.

The Titanic … in Branson, Missouri
No, you won’t find Leonardo DiCaprio or Kate Winslet on this boat. And sure, this isn’t an icon you can actually visit, given the original now lies more than 12,000 feet below the Atlantic Ocean’s surface. But its replica in Branson, Missouri, is a can’t-miss attraction that looms over the city’s main drag. Built half to scale complete with infamous iceberg, the Titanic Museum Attraction houses a thoughtful and interactive museum about the legendary ship and its passengers. Don’t let the kitschy exterior fool you — but definitely snap a selfie in front of it.
